Why is this happening to me? Here’s a better question….

Do you ever feel that the universe is against you? That your boss hates you? You have horrible luck? You’re the only one that can’t seem to get it together or you’re certain you’ll be hurt in this new relationship? Are you thinking that for every 3 steps forward, something bad will happen that will cause you to take 5 steps back?

What is the story you tell yourself?

You don’t just tell your stories to others. You tell them to yourself. This little voice inside your head has a direct impact on your actions, behaviors and life. What you tell yourself about what your role is and how equipped you are to handle things will become your truth.

The problems that have surfaced in your life can act as an incredibly important guide for you. The question “Why is this happening to me?” leaves us feeling nothing but disempowered, helpless, immobilized and unmotivated to change. Powerless.

Furthermore, assigning blame to our bad luck, other people’s lack of compassion and understanding, or the universe at work keeps us completely victimized.

Start asking of your problem, “What is this trying to tell me?” “What are you here to teach me?” This is a mind shift in thought. It is meant to shift your focus and teach you about what you have control over and what you do not.

Maybe it’s time to let go of something that has worn out its purpose. Maybe it’s time to take responsibility for an area in your life that you’ve neglected or to get your finances in order.

Maybe it’s time start taking care of your health or maybe it is time to start saying no and putting yourself first.

Perhaps it’s telling you it’s time to start dealing with your past. Maybe it’s telling you its time to ask for help. Whatever it is….It’s time.

Change means action. Taking your power back means you have to take the action. It means you have to make a move, do something different, or try something new. That can be scary.

Therapy will help you take charge of your life and help you understand that you are capable of doing, being and acting differently. Being aware of the problem is a part of the lesson.

You now have a simple tool to move forward and start empowering your life.

Let me help you.
