Never let them see you cry?

Many people have emotional outbursts. Maybe you cry easily. Maybe you get your feelings hurt and become defensive or become easily angered. Perhaps you become overwhelmed or even paralyzed from fear.

Whatever you are feeling is valid. Whatever you are feeling is okay. It’s okay to have emotions.

Becoming emotionally stronger doesn’t mean you don’t ever feel these feelings again, it simply means you develop a more positive attitude that will help you control your emotions. Emotionally strong people learn to be more resilient, endure stress and face life challenges directly.

Therapy is about becoming emotionally strong. However, becoming mentally and emotionally strong isn’t something that happens overnight. You have to be willing to put in the effort. You have to be willing to free yourself from what is no longer working for you.

The ability to cope with difficult emotions and situations is a significant predictor of our success and happiness. The strongest individuals are able to turn any obstacle into a source of growth and opportunity. Therapy provides the way.
