It’s OK to Grieve

I have learned to accept closed doors and bad vibes.

It’s ok to grieve when a door closes. It’s ok to grieve when someone else… or life… closed, or even slammed it shut for you. It’s ok to grieve even if you closed the door yourself. It’s ok to grieve what you thought you wanted. It’s ok to grieve what you think you’ve lost.

Loss hurts.

Letting go of people, places, opportunities, and things are easier for some people than for others. If you tend to hold on, it’s ok to give yourself permission to grieve the closing of this particular door. And it’s ok if you can’t see new doors opening right now.

Letting go is not the same as giving up.
