Each time we hide who we are to please someone else, we give up a little self-respect.

Many of us want to feel safe, loved and accepted in life. There is nothing wrong with this. However, sometimes in our efforts for approval, we attempt to show the world just how accommodating we are. This pattern of people pleasing sets us on a path of losing ourselves.

The constant desire to feel accepted will eventually interfere with your life. We become unaware that each time we hide who we are to please someone else, we give up a little self-respect. The underlying belief is that WHO we are isn’t lovable.

But the beauty of us lies in our vulnerability, emotions, and imperfections. When we embrace who we are and decide to be true to ourselves, instead of who we think others want us to be, we open ourselves up to real relationships, real happiness, and real success.
