How could I be so dumb?

Honestly, you cannot berate yourself into a better version of yourself. Who told you that you are not good enough?

Often times the pressure coming from family, peers, work, and society in general can leave us feeling completely defeated. Anyone or anything you associate with can be the cause of your negative beliefs. We compare ourselves to others constantly. So when we feel we don’t have the “right” relationship, friendship, job, lifestyle, possessions, etc., we come to the conclusion that we are not enough.

If the statements, “I should have known better”, or “How could I let this happen”, or “How could I be so dumb” fill your mind when you make a mistake, you are not alone. So instead of using the mistake as a learning opportunity, we take the opportunity to beat ourselves about it.

But you are wiser. You possess the wisdom to choose what you want to believe. Every time you catch yourself thinking I’m not good enough, I challenge you to immediately write down an opposing thought that discredits your negativity. “I am enough.” “I have enough.” Or “I do enough.”
