Closing your own doors.

“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
Semisonic – Closing Time

If you are having a difficult time thinking of a reason to continue, then begin thinking of a reason to start over in the right direction.

Some doors may have been closed for you. You didn’t get a vote. You were only left to deal with the aftermath. Your boss gave the promotion to your co-worker, your spouse filed for divorce, or you didn’t get into the school you wanted.

What about the idea of choosing to close your own doors? Empowering yourself? Making good decisions is a balancing act between following your heart, or intuition, and listening to your head (logic and reason).

One of the most important ways to exercise control in your life is to start closing your own doors. Take responsibility. Don’t waste your time or drain your energy by making excuses for the closed doors or assigning blame as to why they are closed. The fulfillment in your life is up to you. It’s 100% your responsibility. Closing the doors that lead nowhere makes it easier to open new ones and experience new beginnings.
